So I recently got a 2024 Flash after Ford bought back my 2023 XLT ER. I am not a fan of the 15" screen, but I had to make a compromise because I otherwise really like the truck. That being said, I have noticed that the infotainment system takes 3-4 seconds to turn off after the vehicle is turned off and I open the driver's door. My XLT would turn off as soon as I opened the driver's door. Is this a normal behavior? Also, I find that the 15" screen is laggy and slow just about all the time. Switching between options on the screen typically cuts the audio briefly -- though that was also pretty true of the 12" screen in my XLT. I really miss the physically buttons.

That being said, I think AA on the 15" screen is considerably nicer than the 12" screen. The extra vertical space makes the layout pretty nice, actually.

My 15" has been laggy since I bought the truck, but has gotten worse over time when the truck first turns on. I have to wait a couple minutes before trying to adjust the climate control otherwise it will exaggerate my taps and drop/increase the temperate 10+ degrees. I don't have the audio issues when switching between screen, unless it is between Carplay and FM Radio. Overall, the lag in the screen is probably my biggest complaint and I feel like it could have been avoided with just a slightly faster chip.

May not be the same issue but when I owned a Tesla X before the F150, over time the screen would get slow and buggy, so I had to reboot it and it was fine. It is just a computer and ram might be getting too full. I had an issue with my Lariat LR last week where the parking brake would not release unless I held down the brake switch. It would release but as soon as I put it into gear the brake set and got a message saying I was not in park. I disconnected the negative on the battery and it has worked fine sense. I need to learn how to reboot or power down the screen on the4 F150 rather than disconnecting the battery in the future.

It has little audio skips when using AA and switching over to the sync screens, that's normal.

There is only so much processing power.

Mine is slow and laggy too, but I never think about it quite like people on the forums do.

I just have a rule, I try not to touch the screen for the first 10-20 seconds after moving in the truck. Let it wake up first. After it's loaded in, the few buttons I press works just fine.

My 2023 was bought back by Ford. I looked at all of the available EVs, including the Blazer, Equinox, Silverado EV (this one was a disappointment), Acura ZDX as well as ID4 and Audi Q4. I found things I didn't like about all of them and decided to go back to what I knew: the Lightning. The 15" screen was a compromise I was willing to live with, but was hoping it would be better than it has turned out to be so far.
