I've just picked up my 21 Lariat. I test drove a different Lariat with exact spec. During the test drive I wanted to see if the bed cam worked at speed, it did. Now in the truck I purchased it does not. I called my sales guy and he said they are supposed to shut off. He tested the same demo truck and the camera stayed on.

Now this could be a glitch, but perhaps it is a buried setting. My question is, is there something I can get ( VIN? ), that could help find this setting? I see a few people asking for this, so perhaps I can help. I know very little about Forscan but I do have a USB connector coming.

This is a update from Ford that everyone is waiting on. The one truck that you test drove was a later build than the one you bought. No one knows when and if we all will get this update

If it is just a software change, could we not replicate it? It’s odd, as they both just showed at the dealership from Ford.

It’s software from Ford, no one has figured it out and it’s not in forscan

So something that has always annoyed me is the time in which the power running boards retract after a door closes. Scenario: I put something in my front passenger area and close that door and walk around to the driver door and by the time I make it there, the running boards are already retracting. Anyways, I found the value in the DSM that increases this time if anyone is interested:

DSM 744-31-01 **xx xxxx xx-- (my default is 07) and seems to correspond to 6-7 seconds so I changed this value to 0B that gives about 10-11 seconds.

Note: programming the DSM in the current public release of FORScan doesn't work but the test version I used today works fine and will be included in the next public version of FORScan. I'm also working on adding a DSM spreadsheet in the coming days.
You rock! This has been bugging the heck out of me. It always folds up just as i get to the door on the other side, needless wear and tear.
Thanks!

Hello @Livnitup is there a proper way to reset transmission adaptive tables? I did the reset transmission option via Forscan but tranny is still jerky. Is there more than one module that needs to be reset?
I deleted the adaptive transmission table, and it worked for 1,000 miles. I deleted it again and it is smooth again.

Has anyone found a way to set the passenger front door lock to stay locked while the vehicle is in motion?

That's great news, of course, but can you explain "deleting the table" VS some sort of reset procedure?

@Livnitup is there a way to default the startup mode to Eco? It would be nice to not have to turn the drive mode each time you startup but set it to a particular mode you drive in the most.
I have only seen it default to ECOafter you have run it most of the day or after several switches to it.

So after playing around in some of the settings today, looks like off-road front camera setting is avail for those with the front camera and you can always use Bed cam at any speed.

Also, saw that one pedal can be initiated, @Livnitup, would this work theoretically?

Removing the motor altogether is a way to disable it. It will throw a DTC but won't light up any idiot lights.

Copy, thanks. I did see some videos on that but I was hoping I could just code it to off.

You have to dremel off the fixed portion of the visor that goes in front of the moving airdam anyway, so its a pretty invasive /no going back mod.

The last bullet leads me to believe it can be disabled via FORSCAN. I've been reading that when certain drive modes (snow, 4x4, trail etc) are enabled the air dam is also disabled.
