2023 Lightning Lariat Blue Cruise 1.0. Now updated to Blue Cruise 1.4 at the dealership. I didn't want to wait forever for the through the air push as it seems to be haphazard on it's delivery. So I took my truck to my local dealership. At first they didn't want to perform the update as it was; "A giant can of worms they're not looking forward to opening." BUT the service manager I was fortunate enough to be assigned with just happens to be the absolute guru of software at the dealership! Yee HAA! So he got to the bottom of the can the next day. Evidently in 2024 there was a service memo from Ford not to perform any updates as it could brick modules. To perform this update multiple modules need to be updated and if just one fails they have to start all over from the beginning. So I was the guinea pig for 2025. It went swimmingly. No problems.
I also asked, just for the S&G, of it about walk away locking. I was told, yes, it can be done. $100. May need to do a work around if the switch for it is not currently under "Locks." which it isn't. BUT, they may be able to make it so. I'll find out here next week as I need to take my 2024 Tesla Model X Plaid in for service this week. Yeah I get a loaner vehicle but I don't like to drive loaners. "What if."
