I extended. I'm only interested in the EV for the 39k and have zero interest paying $50k for one – not yet at least.

After having endured the Bronco cluster that's been ongoing for the past year and a half, all I can say is good luck everyone and make sure you do your due diligence before placing your order with a dealer.

Refuse ADMs.

I was a first hour order holder at my local dealer. That made me #7 in line of over 300 orders at my dealership. Got my email today in Wave #3 and placed my order... dealer confirm they accepted it.

I'm gonna guess October 2022 at the earliest for my delivery.

So when I ordered it said there was no ADM. Does that mean the dealer can't add anything now? Or can they add it at delivery?
If your dealer is known to do the right thing and take care of their customers then you probably have nothing to worry about. If you are concerned I would try and get something in writing from them saying there will be no ADM. As others have stated you could go in and have them produce a purchase agreement/order and have it signed by both parties.

As much as I would like to believe everyone is safe from a dealer sticking them with an ADM when the Lightning arrives, I believe it could still happen. The Bronco fiasco proved that some unscrupulous dealers will take advantage of their customers regardless of what was agreed upon when the vehicle was ordered.

Hopefully everything goes smoothly with your Lightning purchase.
Congrats and Good Luck

I got an invite, I reserved the day after but I am with a big dealer in a EV state in a none EV area.

I just don't know what to do. The XLT is rich for my blood. The winter range is worrying. But my truck isn't gaining value and that EV credit will probably be gone before the pro comes back so that could be a wash anyways.

I really very torn and a lot of it is because I didn't think I'd be getting an invite any time soon.

Sorry to the guys getting screwed by ford's system.

August is probably more like it. Seems like

None of us should be surprised with the exception of a Dealer selling their franchise, we can look on the Bronco Forums, the MachE forums. In exchange for our clicks, the sites have done a good job of listing hundreds of Dealers along with their pricing practices. Take the time and see where your dealer is on the various lists so you won't be as surprised. I personally drive two hours a Mullinax dealer in Alabama as their upfront pricing has been just that, no surprises. Our F150, full size Bronco, and MachE came with no surprises. There are dealers like them all over the US just do some forum research.

I'm in this exact same boat. I got the invite to order today. All along I've wanted Pro but don't know whether to get xlt for the reasons you mentioned. We could get a pro next year or have the same thing happen again and have half or less of the tax incentives.... Don't know what to do.

Well if you figure it out let me know. I figure the dealership is closed at this point so I can sleep on it.

But man, I am waffling hard.

Ordered a Lariat+ with spray in bed liner, tray style floor mats and added max towing. I don't plan on towing, but I prefer to have more cooling than less. Just waiting for dealer to accept the order now.
What was your reservation number? I’m trying to estimate what wave I will fall under.

I guess they want to buy you dinner before they may tell you there is an ADM
I’ve at least been told verbally they’d honor MSRP, for all that’s worth. I do have the benefit of working for a company that buys a lot of F series trucks every year in multiple states so maybe they’d take that in to consideration and at least use lube after dinner.

I’m still not holding out hope of much being #10 in line. And even with a MME I’m planning on trading in.

Unless you have $13k to throw away...wait for the Pro, I extended mine and I was Wave 2. If you were 2 or 3 waves further back...then you may have a decision to make. I'd guess the first 4 waves of people extending their reservation will get a Pro in '23.

It really depends on where you live and what spot you are at your dealership. Being in a ZEV state gave me a leg up I think.

You're probably right.

I could see my trade in losing that much value, price increases, and decreased tax incentives though.

What does Max Towing add mechanically to the Lightning?

It's all about allocation just like the Bronco. Fords secret algorithm, ZEV (not even sure what that means) and sales. Texas sells the most F150s and Trucks in general, so Ford is not ignoring them.
If you go to a small dealer, they will get allocated 1 or 2 Lightnings per year. If you go to a larger dealer they will get allocated much more, maybe 50! Who knows? You might get a better deal from a small dealer, but you might not get your Truck for 3 years. Just look up Granger on Bronco 6G.
