Android Automotive coming to Maverick??

So Maverick Nation going a little crazy today. Autoblog posted some spy pics of an upcoming Maverick. And it looks like it has a nicer screen but (gasp), on-screen controls for HVAC! The Maverick is getting a refresh in 2025.

Looks like the crappy bronco sport screen.

Was not impressed when I drove one for a couple days.

Ford was supposed to move F150's to android automotive for the 2023 models and that never happened. Don't see it happening anytime soon.

Bronco Sport has Sync 3, not this new system. Yes, it's crappy compared to Sync 4. Right now the 2024 Mavericks have Sync 3 in the Lariat trim and the even older Ford Connected (aka sync 2.5) in the lower trims. It is a low-priced truck for sure.

I may be wrong about Android Automotive. Apparently Sync 4 looks like the spy shot as well at least on the 2024 Escape. The Escape has physical buttons for Audio but not for HVAC.
