I think they wrote us back within a couple weeks max. It was quick and easy. I'm not sure how common this practice is.

I'm bouncing back and forth between wanting to wait and see if they accept my buyback appeal, or just take what is being offered and trade the sucker in and get a Lightning.

I'm just tired of all the rattling, squeaks, noises and issues. Nobody should have to deal with all of that on a 1 year old car.

Tesla treats their vehicles like an app - constantly updating and adding lots of software-based improvements.

Ford treats the vehicle like a model year. New features and improvements get added to the new model year version, not necessarily retrofitted into previously shipped vehicles. You get what you buy and its going to pretty much stay that way.

I have an older model S. Purchased when times were different. I wish this truck as it is was available back then I might have chosen different. The Tesla served it's purpose. I don't drive it much anymore due to reasons I can't say. wink, wink. The Tesla did let me learn, and get used to the way that an electric vehicle would work with my lifestyle. For example the first thing I learned was that if I could not charge at home or my shops, it would not work for me.

The main difference for us is that we go to a lot of plays, concerts, and the symphony. When the weather is bad we tend to use garages. Some have very low clearances and small turning paths. I know of a couple that I would not want to take the truck into. Other than that for us there is little difference.
