I just got off the phone with my local Ford dealer and they quoted $35/per U-bolt for the 2 wheel drive ($140 total) and $8 for replacement nuts. If you have a 4x4 and want to ditch the longer bolts and use 2 wheel drive u bolts it's not a cheap mod. If you want to keep the longer 4x4 u bolts then make sure you have washers and a really long deep socket in order to tighten the nuts as there will be a lot of thread showing on the 4x4 u bolts.

I removed the blocks on my 4x4, dropped it about an inch.
It won't really have any impact on towing, however, you may experience a reverse rake with heavier tong weight. I plan on installing airbag helper springs, simply because my last truck had them, and I really liked how that truck towed my camper.

Did you need to adjust your headlights when you removed the rear blocks?

I have a 502A Lariat, so they are auto adjusted anyway, so for me...No.

I wouldn't think that 1" would be enough to change your headlight angle where you would need to readjust it, anyway. But could be something you want to check on.
