Anyone with Error? OTA’s not coming - Ford’s answer

Well I would certainly have updated the GWM and then the APIM showing there in your list.

got error downloading APIM - see photo

heres what I did:

- downloaded APIM update to USB
-truck - usb not compatible <—- windows format didn’t work - FIXED THIS.
- got your message about doing gateway then APIM
- gateway update successful via USB per instructions
- select update APIM - I now get the following error

my license expires 8:30 Friday morning.

and yes I tried it several times. Including rebooting pc and truck.

Well go ahead and knock out the rest of the updates while you still have a license. I've asked a guy over on the F-150 forum about that message and am waiting for him to get back to me (he is online now though). I've seen that message before but just can't remember what caused it right now.

So Jesse over on the F-150 forum says that he's going to look up your VIN and see if he can get the manifest. He says that the manifest is not on the same server as the updates and sometimes that server goes down, which would cause this.

Well Jesse hasn't said anything yet...but he has your VIN. I guess he may be having problems with it as well.

I believe I got past the error message above. It wrote the files to the USB stick this time and I received the "Do not remove USB drive until prompted" message. I'm just waiting for the Power vehicle off message.

Well if it's put the files on the drive and the drive is in the console port I would expect everything to work.

If the APIM is still in your list after you're returned to the available software list when the update completes, (with a green button that says "Run") then select the Re-run Network Scan button to get that to drop off and hopefully the new gateway update (GWM) will show up...and then you can do that. That then should kill the SOBDM/SOBDMC DTCs that I'm sure you've had since May, like the rest of us.

That APIM update can take a while to upload through the USB port. Like almost a half hour. So just wait and let it do it's thing.....

I was able to get it updated although it still shows as an available update in FDRS (along with BCM which I tried to setup an account for). I did run retest network several times and it didn't clear ACM, IPC, or BCM.

After I let the truck sit for a bit, I was able to get the IPC to clear. At that point I had another Gateway SW update which finished. Then I got another APIM update which took around 20-30 minutes to complete...it takes a bit to write that 6GB to the thumb drive and then to the truck. It completed as well. Then I tried a couple more times to get the ACM SW update to clear and it won't go away (it installs successfully each time).

Same here.

ACM won't clear off the list; you can ignore it once you apply it. Mine hasn't come of the list for many months and I know it installed.
