As most of us already know, the actual battery on board the F150 Lightning is larger than stated. Ford purposely understates since they are warrantying the battery for 8 yrs and they want to avoid users charging always to 100%. My question is the following. Now that the Silverodo is on the seen with a huge battery and range, will Ford release more range or be prey to the new range capablity of the Silverodo? I must admit that had I realized that the Work truck version was coming out, I would have waited to get the extra battery range. In Canada, the darn extended range battery on the Ford was $15,000 more to get it over the standard range. When comparing to the WT4 from GM Silverodo to the Ford Flash, there is a compelling argument to go with the Chevy Silverodo. So I am hoping that Ford gives more range like they did with the MachE extended range battery so to keep competitive.
Maybe I will not hold my breath, could be a long wait for this to happen.
