There is a rumor on Reddit that in the future the one-time option will also be available in the Ford Pass app. That is unverified and claimed by a supposed Ford or dealership employee which is also unverified.

Not sure what limitations will be present regarding years and models. We shall see...

I was able to purchase this at the time of sale for my 2024 Flash. The finance guy is who I spoke to (the guy who tries to sell you all kinds of garbage addons that are pure profit for the stealership). He was able to add it with no issues.

Maybe I need to call the finance guy instead of my salesman. That is an idea.

Thanks!

When I was looking at 24 Flash models, 2 of them already had a $2100. Option for bluecruise on the window sticker.
Wasn't interested and went for the free 3 month trial.

Now looking forward. 2100 is $700.+ annually and the loss of 3 free months.

Can't we buy it now for $50.00 a month or $500 annually.

Why would you spend more upfront when you can add it cheaper and as needed later?

What am I missing?

Rick

That is a valid point. It is the principal for me and I prefer to not support the recurring subscription model if there is another option. The one-time payment option is better (for me) in my mind since I do like and want the bluecruise feature to be active.

I recognize that it would in fact be less expensive to choose your suggestion.

I have the same position for other features that may possibly come in the future. Dog Mode for example - charge me once for the feature and not monthly please. This is how I will express my position to Ford.

Considering that the 2022 F150L are the beta testers of the group, I wonder if we might get some discounts... lol. Yea we did get 3 years, but it still would be nice. As long as we get 1.5+ during a OTA too...

Half way through my 3 year "free" plan and this pops up...90 day trial. "Learn more" goes to dead end too.

I got that yesterday as well. My Platinum came with (as part of the MSRP, not free) a 3 year subscription. When I look at connected services, all looks fine. But like you, I got that message that leads to nowhere.

When I got into my truck today, it had a message that it had applied an update. When I clicked the details, it was the same ECG update it applied last week. Not sure if it’s related or coincidence. 🤷‍♂️

I’m having the opposite issue. My 2024 had 3 yr Blue Cruise on the window sticker for $2,100 (less $615 rebate) Prior to purchasing the truck was told Ford had removed it and the truck was reinvoiced.

i almost never drive on any BC mapped roads so it would be almost useless for me.

After purchasing I saw that there was a 3yr subscription on the truck. There was no way to get it removed and a refund issued through Ford.

If it wasn't on the invoice, doesn't that mean it was included?

Firs, let me start by saying his isn't my first rodeo. This deal was my 70th new vehicle I've bought since 1970. Just in the last 10 years I've bought and sold 13 NEW Ford trucks, most of them with X-Plan.

To answer you question, Yes if it is on the invoice then it should be included. i saw the window sticker but not the invoice.Tthe sales rep and sales manager told me that Ford had removed the 3yr Blue Cruise and Ford had re-invoiced it. Both the sales manager and sales rep also leased a Platinum the day before with the same issue. I didn't get to see the actual invoice. They even told me if I needed it to go on a road trip i could subscribe for that month for a one time $50 fee.

I insisted they provide a copy of everything I signed plus the invoice. The told me the USB flash drive they gave me included ALL the paperwork. They didn't present the invoice when I signed the paperwork, as they are required with X-plan. When I got home I looked at the FLash drive documents and the invoice and X-Plan agreement that I signed wasn't on the drive.

I called the Finance manager and he sent me the invoice and other paperwork that was missing. He at the same time told me that my truck didn't have 3yr BC and I wasn't charged for it even though it showed on Ford Pass app. He said if I got it then I got it for free because it was Ford's error.

I stopped by the next day and had a long talk with the Finance Manager and I was able to convince him that he was wrong and I was right. To their credit, they made it right and I still have 3ys of BC. After that meeting the F&I manager gathered all the sales staff and reeducated all of them.

It was an honest mistake, not intentional.
