My invite said the “trial” ends this summer. So I suspect Ford is actively working on a path to integrate Canopy’s software into our existing hardware.

That would make sense why they only want beta testers for that short of a time and as Canopy’s website shows the subscription portion is ending so likely that means the LTE agreements as well. So maybe Ford is planning on using the native service instead or bundling it as a connected service.

Like others have mentioned my bed is mostly covered either by the bed tent or the tonneau , so the need for a bed only camera is basically not huge. If it was “360” like my M3 I would be more interested. Also not a fan of the glass mount approach when I already have a bed camera.
I signed up but I am also not interested in sticking a camera on the sliding window, If it's a replacement to the OEM one, meaning it goes right into the back cab light then I am all in.

I got the invite as well. But I found several sources (including one here) that shows it to be a stickon - like @carys98 described above. I appreciated the invite but passed. Hopefully they are coming out with something smaller and more integrated but I don't want to be stuck with the gen 1 solution.

Ford bought them in September 2024...

I didn’t word my post well. I know they bought them, I was just speculating about their reasons. I don’t think Ford wants to be in the accessory business so Canopy probably has some image processing technology that they are after.

The company has an install video on YouTube. The camera bar shown looks like it's big enough to support multiple cameras, which would be nice if they would also have a front-facing camera and I would definitely be part of the trial then.

Not sure this is the test unit.
