I live in the San Diego county area and I'd like to hire anyone that can come to my home and set my time to charge from 12 am to 7 am. I bought my truck from Kearny Mesa Ford and they're pretty useless when it comes to Lightening. When I had my gas powered F-150, no complaints, but with electric they have no training and little knowledge. Ford central is no help to customers or to the dealerships. I took my Lightening for another dealership, in Escondido, and they too couldn't figure out how to set the timer. After 3 service people couldn't set it, they suggested it had to be set while in my garage. Instructions are pretty easy to follow, but when set for 85% charge and the time of 12 am to 7 am, the save function doesn't work to save the info. Again, anyone that can come get this done, I'll hire you. Last, I see posts on Sunrun. They are a mistake. I got an electrician to set up my charger for $250 while Sunrun wanted $1800. The charger that came with truck is still sitting in the box in my garage. Anyone want it for $500 and we have a deal.

I want to help you out, but I'm in Phoenix. You can do this from inside the truck itself. In the charging app, you first need to review your previous charging locations and designate one of them as "home" then you can set up the charging schedule. I don't know if this helps you at all. Ford service people are a joke when it comes to the tech side of this truck. You don't need to be in your garage, but you do need to have charged there at least once so it shows as a location in your charging history.

As said above,

If you have older charging locations, delete them.

Take the truck for a quick drive around the block or to get it's GPS oriented, then return to home parking spot / garage.

Leave truck in run or accessory mode, plug in and let the charging start,

Go into the charging menu to build a new location based profile.

When creating the new profile, if GPS coordinates appear, leave as is and continue with SOC max %%, then week day time frame, then weekend time frame, then move to save the configuration.

Hi Tony! I can look into your Lightning's charging concern on my end. To get started, could you please send a private message over with the name/location of your local Ford dealer and your Lightning's VIN?

You're protesting the cost from SunRun for $1,800 vs. your electrician charging $250. You don't specify the charger / outlet you did install, but it's a significantly different thing to hardwire a 100amp circuit for the 80amp Ford Charge Station Pro, then to put in a 50amp circuit with a plug for a 40amp or lower plug in charger. Wire cost alone is a huge difference.
