I cut it down and solder sealed it back together.I'll see if I can get it installed after I figure out how to get this extremely short power cable ran to the obd port.

I can also confirm the ferrite choke does nothing. Also, Ferrite does Jack on the comma power cable. Installed one on each end and a loop in the middle.
Ferrite installed on every cable in everyway possible way and it still flashes errors for about 5 seconds on startup. So harness modification looks like the only good solution still.
I was going to ask if it could be shortened. Wasn't sure what all it's sending through the cables. I'll cut it down once I have time to play with the unit.I cut it down and solder sealed it back together.
How long do you get errors for? Mine are just long enough to popup the message then they are clear. I'm not sure this bugs me enough to mess with it more than I have.I can also confirm the ferrite choke does nothing.
If you have a VIN we can try to check FDRS and see if the tron utility shows upI am working a deal to lease a 2025 Lightning.
Anyone know yet if the 2025 models have TRON encryption?

GWM shows a TRON key. That is a likely indicator of the encrypted canbus.Getting someone to check.
