The discussion is irrelevant. how much money the dealer makes is no more your business than how much money you make is to them. If you think they are charging too much, take your business elsewhere. any salesman who gets into such a discussion isn't worthy of getting your business.
Wrong.

When market is down, we can try to squeeze every cents we can when negotiating the price! So we need the knowledge of true cost to dealers!

I get your point you are trying to make, but that isn't really the case all of the time, especially on an ordered vehicles where Ford shows you a price at order time. That very same system has a place for the dealer to add their markup before you order. However they don't do that. They wait until you are committed to them and then try to bend you over. Slimy add ons like VIN etching and tracking, etc are gouging. The Ford dealers are also limited. You shouldn't have to drive all over town to get a fair deal. They are governed by long long contracts and they have had hundreds and hundreds of laws put in place in likely every state to protect them. They have very powerful associations that look out for them and help get more legislation passed every year to protect them more.

Dealing with a car dealer is not a fair shake. If so lets remove the laws from the books and see how they sell cars.

This is the way.

However, other information presented as to their financials can be valuable information.
