Dealer installed trailer brake controller?

If we do not order the Trailer Technology package, will a dealer be able to install a factory brake controller? My dealer doesn't know yet.

Pretty sure you can get an aftermarket controller. Some people have noted that Ford has been putting in the wires for the upgrade but not a small gizmo. People order the gizmo and have brakes.

Look into if you can add it after the truck is built for the ice f150. I know that the GM trucks cannot have the factory brake controller added by the dealer, is it's not built with it then y or I need to go aftermarket.
Honestly, if you want a brake controller, if your order has not been scheduled for production, you can probably have the order modified to add the tow technology package.

If you can change your order, I suggest you just add it. Yes, you can add an aftermarket part and it will work but the factory option is a much cleaner install and I believe you will be happier with it.

The ICE F-150 allows a Ford brake controller to be purchased and installed. Requires the use of FORScan or the dealer to add it to the truck's systems. This is the only INTEGRATED solution possible.

Just had my dealer get the brake controller ($275) and install. With labor it came to almost $600. Seems a little steep, but I didn't want to mess with FORScan . Glad I finally have an integrated controller.

Hello - I'm having issues with my newly installed OEM electric brake controller on my 24 Lightning. I'm assuming the unit you had installed was OEM as well, yes?
