It is just an adaptor, it does not convert or do anything special. It is normal to get warm to a little hot and that's the reason why metal conduit is required for wires from panel to EV charger. If it is too hot, then the conact between adapter and Tesla charger is below optimum.I own a Lectron adapter and it got plenty hot at 240V/48A. I’m sure this is beefed up but I’d be cautious using this on a supercharger. The amperage we’re dealing with while DCFC is no joke…
