I own a Lectron adapter and it got plenty hot at 240V/48A. I’m sure this is beefed up but I’d be cautious using this on a supercharger. The amperage we’re dealing with while DCFC is no joke…
It is just an adaptor, it does not convert or do anything special. It is normal to get warm to a little hot and that's the reason why metal conduit is required for wires from panel to EV charger. If it is too hot, then the conact between adapter and Tesla charger is below optimum.

There is no requirement in the NEC for metal conduit on EVSE branch circuits. Any chapter 3 wiring method is permissible.

Isn't the Tesla fight club somewhere else?

ON edit: Dammit…apparently not. 😆
I couldn't resit... of course now the tread appears to be getting back on track

this is a FORD FORUM,
This is simply not true. This has proven to be a 1/2 ton Truck, Ford, auto manufacturer profitability, ev manufacturers, ev charging, whole house generator and “save the planet” forum… and that has been ok.

all that said, I wish people would realize polarizing opinions are OK and that’s what makes the Ol USA fun and great. I think @Texas Dan is is comically bias, but I guarantee you if i laid out my UAW or union views or my strong belief in unrestricted capitalism he would think the same.

No doubt this forum is a crossroad of many points of view, it's especially important to be respectful with one another when views differ, either POV can be valid and valued differently
