One weird situation I did encounter. I set the cruise at 45 mph (speed limit) on a divided four lane. Cruising along with traffic in front of me was slowing, but Blue Cruise read a speed limit sign or had it in the database (appropriately by the way) that changed to 55 mph. I also had the speed limit tolerance set at +5 mph. So, as the traffic in front of me was slowing, the truck jumped pretty hard (see other comments above about semi-aggressive throttle inputs) from 45 mph to 60 mph and I had to intervene. Not saying it would not have caught itself, but was enough to make me uncomfortable.
I'll add a word of caution with BC reading speed signs.
Driving along in my Mach E and notice a sign ahead that reads 35, BUT has a shadow from a tree limb across the 3 making it look like an 8. I see it and wait to see what the car sees. Sure enough it reads it as 85 and takes off. I was on top of it and caught it. I'm sure the cops in town would not have been happy to see me cruising through at 85 instead of 35.
I love the fact that it reads the speed signs, just don't think it's perfect
