Okay, getting dark. The pictures suck. Will do more tomorrow. But, I couldn't not take any ?Mine shipped today.
You can adjust the tightness of the seal. I am sure you could get it working. I am not sure it will still be waterproof.@Biscuit did you get your truck? How does the diamondback cover look/work? Is it true the power tailgate won’t function when the db is closed?
I am very pleased with the cover. Most of the time, it is easy to turn the lock/knob on the back above the tailgate (not fully open the cover, just disengage the locking bars underneath) and the power tailgate works flawlessly both open and close. It has been raining the past 3 days where I live, absolutely zero water in the bed each day I check it. In fact, I just ran outside and using the key fob I was able to open and close the tailgate w/o touching the DB cover. Still no water inside. Maybe the water around the seal is lubricating it enough for the tailgate to slide open and closed. I think there is enough adjustment in setting up the cover to allow the seal to be both water tight + flexible for the power tailgate. Make sure to put weight on the cover when you are tightening the bracket for the locking rods inside/under the cover. that will compress the seal so there are no gaps.@Biscuit did you get your truck? loving my Diamondback, congrats looks great!!BTW, I can release the tailgate and manually pull it down and push it back closed.
It won't fall on its own. Will see how the seal keeps up doing it.
