Tailgate is a no go with cover closed. That is what makes it water tight.

I ordered the bins for both sides of the 270 as an afterthought. I got the deep ones (8 inches I think). Delivered today.

I wish they were wider. There is room.

BTW, I can release the tailgate and manually pull it down and push it back closed.

It won't fall on its own. Will see how the seal keeps up doing it.

You can adjust the tightness of the seal. I am sure you could get it working. I am not sure it will still be waterproof.

I am very pleased with the cover. Most of the time, it is easy to turn the lock/knob on the back above the tailgate (not fully open the cover, just disengage the locking bars underneath) and the power tailgate works flawlessly both open and close. It has been raining the past 3 days where I live, absolutely zero water in the bed each day I check it. In fact, I just ran outside and using the key fob I was able to open and close the tailgate w/o touching the DB cover. Still no water inside. Maybe the water around the seal is lubricating it enough for the tailgate to slide open and closed. I think there is enough adjustment in setting up the cover to allow the seal to be both water tight + flexible for the power tailgate. Make sure to put weight on the cover when you are tightening the bracket for the locking rods inside/under the cover. that will compress the seal so there are no gaps.

P.S. the truck is amazing. I added wheel well liners and Gatorback mud flaps to it last night. Can't stop/won't stop looking at it

I really like the design and style of this diamondback on your trucks, its a cover I'm not familiar with.

My only complaint would be how high it sticks up from the bed rails, I like how low-pro the tri-folds are. But these diamondbacks look very solidly built and reliable.

Maybe I missed it somewhere in this thread, but whats the price point?

$1700-2200 for the cover. The 270 side bins were $200 each.
