A lot of dealers have gotten their Demos in the last couple of weeks and have to wait 6 months to sell it…. Interested to see how that messes with all the ADMs out there.

Let's see.

200,000 reservations.
6 months from now, 20,000 or less will have been made and delivered.
180,000 reservations left.
~ 3,100 Ford dealers, not all EV dealerships

It will have ZERO effect.

Yeah, I would think virtually all demos will be spoken for prior to 6 months being up.

My dealer said they received a phone call offering $35,000 over MSRP for the demo they haven't received yet. I didn't ask if they would take it. I know they don't seem to have a concern for mileage on it. They offered my to drive it for a week when it arrives.

My dealer said their demo was already sold so there would be no test drives for the general public. They did say that people with reservations would be able to take it for a spin around town.

I’m sure things will have settled down a little bit in six months. A lot of the “gotta have the latest thing” people should have moved on to something else by then.

The order conversion rate will be interesting to watch as the economy comes to a screeching halt. I'm sure there will still be enough demand to cover MY'23 production plans but I'm also sure Ford has a keen eye on measuring '24 production - on one hand, stellar reviews; on another, can anyone afford a new vehicle with inflation not seen in over 40 years.

There could very well be a supply spike come Jan 1 2023 if all the rebates expire as they are currently due to and the 2023 prices increase averages about 6k effectively raising prices next year by over 10k $. Add on top of that the uncertain economy. It's going to be interesting to see what happens. I'm not sure I'm gonna convert if all trims are up 10,000$ and they try to force me up to a trim I wasn't targeting.
