I'm curious what the difference in brightness is side by side because the Ford one is already bright to begin with.

Aftermarket is 6500K and I believe Fords is 4000K

I actually don't really like how bright that is... but would enjoy the startup animation. Is that animation going to work on the OEM emblem, eventually?

The plug and play harness doesn’t work with the lightning. Plus I decided to put it on my f250

Agree - do you think there are holes behind that Ford emblem or is it just stuck on? There has to be a lot of wiring in the tail gate that would be appropriate to tap into, getting it routed and held out of the way of the step inside might be another problem. Along these lines - if you take the plastic work surface cover off, is there metal behind that or is it open so you could easily wire and secure the wiring?

There are holes. There is metal and a reinforcement bracket behind the plastic but wires could be fished through.

The step is something I don't know about. I only see the bare metal where I work.
