I posted this in an old LVB thread but no movement so started a new. Wanted to get advice sooner than later.

Had an issue yesterday with deep sleep mode. 3 weeks owned, about 1300 miles. Received 3.5.4 at some point yesterday (12/7). Headed to a shop to get retrax installed yesterday morning , left with 80%. Drove there waited 1.5 hours cover installed and headed home. Popped back on charger to top off to 80%. Left in the afternoon with 80% for a 56 mile commute. Checked FordPass a couple hours later and I got “your vehicle is in deep sleep mode and connectivity is temporarily unavailable. Manually turn on your vehicle to” (it’s like it ran out of room to finish the warning). Temps today were in the low to mid 50s.

I was nervous I was going to be stuck an hour away from home. Got in and thankfully she turned on and was able to do the 56 mile trip home. Charging right now and no deep sleep notification in FordPass.

any recommendations? Maybe just a glitch?

Hi there, I'd be happy to look into your F-150 concerns on my end. Will you send us a message with your VIN and dealership info? I can look into things on my end.

I also got this today. Kind of chilly for the west coast at freezing but not really cold. In the garage as well. The ford pass is also saying it’s not responding. I hope 32 deg is not cold for the truck.

There is a fleet wide thing going on with this. The threshold may have been set too sensitive

Mines been in far colder temps up here in Maine. It is garage kept but during the day it’s open to elements. I honestly think with my timing the system was working itself out after updating earlier in the day. I have yet to see that message again. I was cautious originally as I was a good hour away from home. Ford contacted me and followed up. They recommended I go see my dealer to check out codes but nothing has popped since. I’m almost 1700 miles in with less than a month owning. No issues. (Other than the steering wheel and others also have).

I just got one today. Plugged into 110 sitting at 98-ish SOC in my garage in the 50s. I would presume its just learning my driving habits (only 457 miles total so far) and working to preserve battery life.

Interesting. I think it’s a hiccup. Ford has been in touch with my issue and it hasn’t happened since.

Hey that 110V normal charger is legit. I move around quite a bit. Let’s say 8-10 hours plugged in on 110V/10A. You are getting roughly 16-25 miles.

I too got this same message yesterday. My tuck is at a shop 7 miles away to get a ceramic coating applied. I check the battery status several times a day with my FordPass app just to see if it drained any. After about 36 hours of the truck being there, I got the Your Vehicle is in Deep Sleep Mode message but it wasn't even sitting for 2 whole days yet. I wonder is this something I should be concerned about? The truck has operated flawlessly for 12 days of ownership. Thoughts?

Thanks.

Every time you check the battery level you are waking the truck up, thus draining the LVB. That could be causing Deep Sleep Mode.

Hey there. I can look into your Lightning’s message concerns on my end if you’d like. Will you send us a private message with your VIN and dealership info?

I got the same message " your vehicle is in Deep sleep mode " this is the second time i got this message. My dealership changed 12v battery few days ago because i was not getting the OTA updates (still not getting it). There are alot of other software bugs in this truck, ford definitely needs to work on their software issues.
