Sorry, what's the crisis again? I think I missed it.

I doubt a lot of Ford buyers even know who the CEO is. I didn't until his name popped up in a couple articles recently. My wife drives a 2017 Explorer, so we are what I would consider a "Ford Family." Not the same at all as an Elon Fanboy.

It would be kind of hard to not know who elon musk is, since he's all over the news with spacex robotics, an ev's jim farley is never in the news, except for when there's a union dispute. People that don't pay attention to anything he does can tell you. Oh yeah, he's that rich guy that makes tesla, but you ask them, who is Jim farley, they wouldn't have a clue. People who hate Tesla know who Elon Musk is, to put them all under one blanket and call them.Fanboys is just kind of an over exaggeration. But there's no denying between spacex, robotics and tesla. He's done great things. And if you talk to a lot of Tesla owners, you'll find out some of them don't like him, or just don't care about his personality, but like the products, it has nothing to do with being a fanboy.

Speaking of Farley, he is going to DC tomorrow to help save Ford from tariffs:

Maybe it's Elonald's plan to cripple all other brands besides Tesla?

So are you admitting that building more of your products parts in america is better for america?
But keep in mind all of the tesla and Elon hate was done well before the president put Elon in charge of DOGE.

Tariffs are not the answer. It's only going to punish the people who aren't rich and pay most of the taxes already by increasing the price of everything. Any yes, Elon wasn't liked before he became co-president, or whatever he is.

Tariffs are a tool, not a permanent solution. Having said that, relying on the status quo does nothing but keep us stagnant. If other countries are receiving a little less profit gains then maybe they should be more fair in the trade agreements, which they have taken advantage of in the past by stupid people in charge. Our steel and electronics industry, not to mention tech, period, went away long before this decade and no one has lifted a finger to try bring it back, seriously. If there is a little pain before any gain then i'm all for seeing what happens, but to to think the country will go down in the toilet from here on out is a little much. We'll see.
