And in that hypothetical, if the headline said that Ford lost $4.5B per car, it would also be lazy and misleading. No doubt that Ford has already sent a buttload of money specifically on the next gen of EV truck. That doesn't mean that a single penny of it should be counted toward the cost of Lightning.Of course. Yeah, I do see your point. Being married to a CFO, and having worked with accounting systems for years, I understand that the headline doesn’t mean that $30K in parts over and above the selling price are going out the door.
