DEARBORN, Mich., January 3, 2025 – Following record Ford electric vehicle YOY sales in 2024, Ford is extending the Ford Power Promise complimentary home charger and standard installation through March 31, 2025. The program is designed to help more people benefit from the convenience of filling up at home with a complimentary Ford home charger as well as the potential to save money on gas.

The Ford Power Promise was developed from insights and feedback from Ford customers and dealers about the real barriers some people face when deciding if an electric vehicle is the right choice for them.

Key Features of the Ford Power Promise include:

• Complimentary Home Charger & Standard Installation1: Retail Purchase or lease of a Ford Mustang Mach-E, F-150 Lightning, or E-Transit Cargo Van customers are eligible to receive a complimentary home charger and standard installation at their home.

The Ford Power Promise promotion is available for retail customers who purchase or lease a 24MY or 25MY Mustang Mach-E, F-150 Lightning or E-Transit Cargo Van from participating Ford dealers.

I got the $2K November 9th, I think the next offer was $1K charging credit with EvGo(I think it was), not a rebate. So the new offer looks slightly different.

The $2k -> $1k was adjusted the following week then. This is the same offer value since mid-November, extended into 2025.

When it was 2K I think it was worth it to take the cash, but now that it’s 1K it’s more cost effective to take the charger and installation. I don’t think you can get both for less than 1K unless you do the installation yourself. Of course take the cash if you already have a charger or hate the Ford charger.

I considered having them add a second charger for me, but it seemed like there were too many limitations for them to do what I wanted without significant additional charges. I was under the 80’, but they told me it would only be a 60 amp max circuit. I decided to go with a second Tesla charger if I need it because two of them can communicate and share a certain amount of amperage. My garage sub panel is 90 amps.
