Are you gearing up for an electric road trip this holiday season? As you prepare, we have created a brand-new resource to help make your electric road trips easier, whether it’s finding chargers along your route, using your Fast Charging Adapter, or paying for charging. And if things go wrong along the way, troubleshooting resources are also available.

Starting today, you can visit the Electric Road Trip Hub or by visiting https://go.ford/evroadtrip.

At the hub, you can learn about the various EV routing options available to you, including:
  • Connected Navigation EV Routing (coming soon to the Hub)
  • Google Maps EV Routing for Android Auto
  • Apple Maps EV Routing for Apple CarPlay
And when you get to the charger, you can learn about how to plug in whether it’s at CCS fast charger without an adapter, or at a NACS fast charger with your Fast Charging Adapter.

Paying for your charge is also easy with the BlueOval Charge Network. With it, you can pay for public charging three ways at over 160,000 chargers across 12 networks in the US and Canada - all from one account with no annual fee – there’s no need to download any additional apps. You can learn about the three ways at the Hub as well:
  • Plug & Charge (at Electrify America and Tesla)
  • FordPass mobile app activation (at all network partners)
  • Public Charging SYNC app activation (at all network partners)
As a reminder, the BlueOval Charge Network members have access to the following networks:
  • Blink
  • ChargePoint
  • Electrify America
  • Electric Circuit
  • EV Connect
  • EVgo
  • FLO
  • Ford Charge
  • Francis Energy
  • Shell Recharge
  • Red E
  • Tesla
Safe travels this holiday season!

It's nice seeing Google maps routing now preconditioning the battery enroute to the DC fast chargers.

This looks a lot like what Apple Maps already did with EV routing — are they just announcing a “hub” of websites that describe those settings? 🙄

I had to disable the EV routing in CarPlay because it automatically picks charging stations and destination SOC for you, and does a terrible job of it. I should be choosing those things, à la ABRP.

Wonder how much Ford plans on charging us for access, once they get it fully loaded out? Can you say ‘subscription.’

If they do, I’m about as likely to pay for that as I am the BC 1.? They promised us two years ago!

Headed to AngelFire this thanksgiving. Couldn't convince the G/F to trust the Lightning, mainly due to the bugginess of FordPass related to charging.

We're taking the overlanded Q7 instead. Seems that there maybe could be more work done on Fordpass instead of this.

When we can trust it's charging info at the house, we'll check it out on the road.
