Ford Motor Company will offer employee pricing to all US shoppers: 'Handshake deal with every American'

The vehicle manufacturer called the new initiative a 'handshake deal with every American'

April 3, 2025

U.S. shoppers will be able to save on Ford vehicles this spring through a new initiative called From America, For America.

American consumers will have access to Ford's employee pricing from April 3 through June 2.

This means customers will pay the same amount as Ford's workers, which is below the dealer invoice price, a spokesperson for the automobile manufacturer told Fox News Digital in an email.

"We have the retail inventory to do this and a lot of choice for customers that need a vehicle," Ford Motor Company said in a statement.

During this period, shoppers will be able to save on 2024 and 2025 hybrid, plug-in hybrid, diesel and gas-powered Ford and Lincoln vehicles. The deal excludes the 2025 Expedition and Navigator SUVs, the Raptors and Super Duty trucks.

Electric vehicle shoppers through Ford's Power Promise will also receive a complimentary home charger and standard installation through June 30, according to the announcement.

Ford cited "uncertain times" and the "complexities of a changing economy" as reasons for the campaign's launch.

"For 121 years, we've put our money where our mouth is, assembling vehicles that Americans rely on and supporting American jobs," Ford said in a statement. "Today, we’re proud to announce a new U.S. initiative that's more than just a promotion. It's a handshake deal with every American."

Cool idea, hope it helps them move vehicles. Maybe a little bit of a mixed blessing though as the last time I think Ford did this was the 2008 recession. I'm sure it's fine though.

I already get employee pricing, wish they had a cash-for-perfectly-good program because our Options plan for our Mach-e isn't up until September, but I would like to replace it before then in case this drags on and the price for a new MME or whatever we get goes way up.

Good move, but bad timing for us fans of your American car brands in Europe ...

How much better, if any, is that pricing truly vs negotiation? Is it over 10% off MSRP in most cases? Or is this just another sales tactic?

I decided to go poke around Ford.com - they are going to make you go see the stealership and play games. If they were serious and wanted to win customers - update your web site with the pricing you say you are offering. You're not going to hurt anything. You'll show your customers you are serious. Instead you're going to make me go to a dealership and listen to the BS and see what they can do to sell at anything other than this price you say everyone can have. If you know what the Ford plan pricing discount is it'll be super easy to update those prices on Ford.com.

Oh - and while you're looking - although we are more than 3 months into '25, the Ford site says's 2025 vehicles until you dive down into the Lightning and there is nothing available but '24's.

It will not be this easy. Dealers will still have $1000-2000 of worthless options installed that will be disclosed as the deal is written up. The dealer discounts will evaporate.

Just like with the Model E fiasco, dealers will remind Ford that they set the price (and their profit), not Ford.

I worked with savvy marketers in my company for years. This is a “get them in the door“ tactic. Then offer them something else.

Yeah, I’ve been following true 2025’s for my Forscan database. At first, all they were delivering were Pros. Based on the scheduling notes posted yesterday, XLT and Flash are constrained. Only Platinums are unconstrained. It seems Lariats are even more rare maybe because almost any option puts them over the 80K threshold for the federal rebate.

Huh? I see 2025s just fine on the Ford site, they have been there for a little while now. Can build and price and all that. It isn't the main drop off page yet because they are likely still selling 2024 stock, but it's definitely there.

All this talk about dealerships taking advantage, we need to see how Ford implements it. If it is actually equivalent to A plan pricing, the dealerships won't be able to "play games" with most things because A plan price is set by Ford, not the dealer. They also place limits on certain fees like doc fees and the like.

Dealerships can put stuff like rust protection or glass etching on if I recall, it's been a while since I went through all the plan rules, but you are also free to just not use that dealer. They can also "play games" on the financing side if you aren't careful.

Dealer situation will rarely be perfect, but if Ford runs this like A plan or D plan or whatever the final numbers are, it will still be a good deal for most people and potentially keep some dealers from their worst intentions.

I have been buying on A plan for years and years. My dealer transactions are hilariously easy. My Lightning I was in and out of the dealer in 30 minutes when I came in to do the paperwork. No hidden items, upcharges, any of it. No pressure for extended warranties or service plans. Just a literal sign and drive. Hopefully this is an experience more people get through this program, but time will tell.

So, does that include the Lightning? It didn't mention full electric, unless they are lumping them in with hybrid models.

You won't find them if you follow the links for the "employee pricing" sale.

Why wouldn'y they specifically include "EV" wording here? Everything else is singled out.

You're a rare case by having access to that. Very few have that kind of dealer experience. You need to take the rose colored glasses off.
