Where can I find the modem light?Does your modem light up again if you fully start the truck?
Your symptoms sound like a weak 12v battery. If your 12v battery drops to 40-50% SOC the truck charges it from the HVB and shuts down many modules like the modem to conserve energy. Given your symptoms I'd check there first. You can check your 12v battery SOC online on your account at Ford.com from your account screen.
This is an example of the last update it will give. 12v SOC (Charge Level) is 43% and it will no longer get updates since the truck will charge the 12v and shut down the modem.
Sorry, figure of speech meaning your modem is on. Your FordPass will update when you drag down from the top on the Fordpass App if your modem is working.Where can I find the modem light?
Ok now I can see the icon in the car indicating I have a data connection. I’m just going to leave the car on in the garage and just keep checking for updates.Sorry, figure of speech meaning your modem is on. Make sure you have your truck connected to wifi. There is an OTA going around to fix a problem with connectivity issues in the TCU. If you are affected by this, wifi is the only way you will get this update.Ok now I can see the icon in the car indicating I have a data connection. The update I am talking about will come in through wifi if the TCU has no connection so the TCU not having connectivity will not prevent you from getting it.Yep on Wi-Fi. Will I get it if I leave my truck on and plugged in? I’m worried that if I turn it off it won’t connect to cellular again without going through the reset process for the 100th time haha

Make sure to go into the Vehicle settings, switch off the automatic shutdown timer.Ok now I can see the icon in the car indicating I have a data connection. I’m just going to leave the car on in the garage and just keep checking for updates.
