Hi,

Charge at a telsa supercharger with the ford supplied adapter for the first time last weekend. I had a very difficult time getting the adapter to lock. I had to push really hard, so hard that the charging port was flexing. The latch didn’t catch until the internal lock engaged.

Do others have this issue? Am I doing something wrong?

thanks.

I used mine last week for the first time and it was easy. There are 2 variants though, which one do you have?

Thanks for the reply. I’m not sure how I can tell which adapter I have. There’s no markings on mine. Here’s a picture.

Thanks

Spoke too soon. Here’s the product info. My phone doesn’t pick up the QR code.

Same one I have. If it's the Tesla side then try moving the lock switch while inserting the plug. There were reports of tem being tight.

Have same adapter as you do.
I do put the adapter on the Tesla handle first and make sure it is seated all the way. Then I plug the whole unit into the truck. Used it several times and it plugs in fairly easy.

Plug the Tesla end into the adapter first. I have had to put the adapter against the curb and push real hard. It will not work unless the latch on the adapter is fully engaged. Then connect the adapter to the truck.

I wouldn't have a clue. Ford told me it would be here in December. Not too many days left and haven't seen a shipping tag generated.
Looks like I'm getting the YULE LOG 💩 this year.

Same thing here. I was supposed to get my adapter in November then December. Now I guess January?
