Ford Tesla Adapter Case Found

Yup, thought about that with the old adapter but looking at the door pockets it wasn't going to work with the old one as it was bulky. This Lectron one seems a lot slimmer so it might work. I was hoping @BestEvMod would modify their center console to fit that adapter

I'm still waiting on my Ford adapter, so maybe when that one comes in I'll size it up next to the A2Z and see which one is more suitable for a door dock.

for those with a 3D printer and the Tesla provided adapter, this was designed by @shoopg on this forum who deserves the credit. I have printed it myself, added a little felt to the inside, and it works great.

That's a good idea. I might take that design and modify it for the door. I've got short arms, so reaching across to the glovebox would be a little tricky for me.

These adapters come in a cardboard box. This leaves it suspetable to damage or dust/grime. I found a case that the adapter will fit in perfectly. Harbor Freight sells it and it is the Apache 1800. I purchased it for $12.95 plus tax. It is waterproof and has enough space for the supplied foam to be cut to fit.

Went to HF today and picked one up for less than $13. Setup the styrofoam inside and it’s awesome.

Nice find! I'm cheap. I went with a little black ditty bag that I had with my camping gear. Fits nicely under the rear seat.

I went with with Apache 1800 box. It fits the Ford NACS adapter and a Tesla destination adapter together.

Easy to store in either EV or on the shelf. Just need to remember to grab it from the shelf or *other ev when leaving on a the trip

My wife gave me an old padded bath rug she was going to throw out, and I lined the interior of the center console cavity with that and then put in the adapter in its Gift For You box.

I have this one for my Ford adapter. Works perfect. Frankly, the adapter is GOLD. I’m not gonna let it bounce around inside the console, door pocket, or the floorboard. Plus, it can get full of dirt, salt, grime, etc. At $200 for something many Lightning owners may never see at this rate, I’m gonna wrap that rascal when not in use. My son needs one and can’t get his mitts on one.
