I updated FordPass on my iPad to test it. After doing so, IMHO, it isn’t worth it per many of the comments on this thread; and, won’t update the app on my iPhone unless forced to do so…

I did the same and agree. I also noticed that you can’t tell which version of Power Up your truck is on. Sore point with me as mine is on 4.2.1.1. Bought it April 12th. Received 4.2.1.1 on April 30th.

How about the trip planner? Is that in the new version?
If you go to Location and click Directions it lets you plan in your choice of Apple, Google, or Waze. I haven’t experimented yet to see if it will pass the plan over to Ford nav so I don’t know what that means for preconditioning. I usually use one of those anyway so this is actually an improvement.

I only can see Google, it’s not giving me Apple Maps or Waze and option.

Great improvements in responsiveness and navigation - very disappointing to lose all the FCSP historical data. I hope they do not have that issue with Pro customers - that would be a huge issue for fleet managers that rely on that data.
Gone.......
They are not gone - but your historical data is which is a huge let down.

The access to it is now in the “Energy” section at the bottom navigation. When it switches to that view scroll down and it’s listed in “Advanced” section called “Charge Station”:

I also see they limit you to only so many remote commands for the climate controls and then they make you go to the vehicle and start it to reset:

I encountered this when I was testing the feature from app and then from my watch. So it was at least 4 accesses that triggered it.

When I go to Location it shows me the location of the truck on a map. When I click directions at the bottom, it gives me the options of apple maps, google maps, or waze. Whichever one I click on just brings up directions to my trucks current location like I am trying to find the truck.

I do not see any trip planning options anywhere in the app.

For once I don't mind running a version behind.

Yeah, it turns out it just opens the other app. I first assumed it was going to let you plan using whichever map data you wanted. So far the new app is a total disappointment. I don’t really need to be able to turn on my heated steering wheel when I’m not even in the truck but I would like to be able to turn on the zone lighting.
