As far as I know, ALL AIRPORTS according to HOMELAND SECURITY are required to tow all backed-in vehicles due to possible security threat, that do not have a visible front license plate for owner identification purposes .Do they have signs that say no backing in? I’ve been in some garages that have that. I think it’s stupid. I back in everywhere. Always easier to back in and then drive forward out. Better visibility.
Now you’ve got me curious. I’m going to have to delve a little deeper into this. I also fly into and out of LAX and also always backed in there as well. No signs that I’ve seen. Interesting. As far as I know, ALL AIRPORTS according to HOMELAND SECURITY are required to tow all backed-in vehicles due to possible security threat, that do not have a visible front license plate for owner identification purposes .
Yes, California has a mandatory front plate law, I'm NOT installing mine, until I get caught. I believe they do NOT pull you over JUST for a missing plate. and if I'm caught I believe it's a "fix it" ticket. Not losing any sleep over it.My truck had the OEM plate bracket on the truck (can't remember if ti was the frunk or under the backseats). But I drove around without the front plates for a few months. It really depends on how strict the cops are in your area. But since I drive a lot for work, I decided not to take the risk and installed the front plate using one of those Snap Plate non-drill plate brackets. It works pretty good IMO and it's not permanent.
My bracket and plate are still sitting in my frunk. I opened the bracket and said the same thing (hell no). If the boys in blue ever call me on it, I’ll look at the no drill bracket option. The factory bracket comes with 2 big a$$ pop rivets, so you have to drill 2 holes in your front bumper. No thanks.
