FSCP not working with Mercedes EQS

Does anyone have any experience with charging Mercedes EVs using FSCP? When I plug it in it goes through a series of "clicks" and the car eventually appears to give up. Strangely, I was able to get a full charge one time but I doesn't work now. Wondering if there is a setting that I am missing. Thanks for any help.

I have heard of some EVs “giving up” when the EVSE signals that it is capable of more than 48A. You could try to dial down the charge rate and see what happens.

Looks like Mercedes level 2 EVSE is 48 amp's https://www.mbusa.com/en/charge/at-home

Too bad the vehicle won't work with a higher capacity EVSE, must be a programming fluke in the vehicle logic.

Disappointing, since I've been teasing my wife about a replacement for her ICE E300, I was looking at the EQ series, she hates the idea of going electric though.

My EQS 580will charge at 9.7 kw on my Tesla V1 charger but does not charge with the FCSP that is on 100 A circuit, charges the Lightning at 17.1 kw. If I charge both at the same time they drop about .4 each.

My FCSP is on 100A breaker as well. I will try dialing down the max to 48A in the app and see if that helps this evening.
Strage thing is, when I tried last Tue and it didn't work. On Wed, I changed the setting in the car to "Eco" mode and it worked. Out of curiosity, I changed it back to normal and it still kept charging to 90%. I didn't change any settings, but it wouldn't charge last night.

I charge a Polestar 2 every day on my Ford Pro Power unit. It works flawlessly and gives me about 47-48 AMPs. I would imagine there are some EV's that are not compatible?

Dialing it down to 48A (and below) using the FordPass app did not work :-(.
Try opening up the FCSP cabinet and dialing down the hardware switch to #5
The software adjustment is unreliable and might only work in conjunction with the Ford products (not certain)

Physical dial down also didn't work. Called Ford and as usual they are not very helpful. Said 80A may be too much for other vehicles... That's not how it works (or should work) :-(

This is why I don't recommend any of the car maker chargers to anyone - support.
