I found that the kit helps a bit in making it easy to fold the seatback down. Some folks just use a box end wrench (about 10mm to 1/2" or so) to pull the latch, which is located behind the seat about 4 inches or so from the driver's side interior wall. It's easier to get to the latch when the seat bottom has been raised.

The difficult part is getting the seatback latched when you push it back up into place; the sliding horizontal bar has to be in just the right place or the latch won't latch. There's probably a trick, but I haven't mastered it yet.

I found that pushing the seat back shut with my hand in the center of the seatback cushion, just to the left of where the latch is on the backside, does the trick.

You might be missing a little rubber pad that sits in the bottom of the forward console tray where the charger is located.

How are you supposed to use the charger? Mine is tilted at such an angle that the phone does not stay in place. It seems to me that I am missing a bracket that hold it in place.

Well that explains why I couldn’t shut the frunk a couple of weeks ago!

This one took me a while to figure out. I would pull up to drop my daughter off at soccer practice and she would get out and try to pop the frunk so she could grab her stuff. It didn’t work consistently. I could always operate it from the dash button, the outside button didn’t work. I was frustrated until I considered the security aspects. If you are parked at a red light someone could hit your frunk button and effectively disable your vehicle while it goes through the excruciatingly slow opening sequence, take whatever is in your frunk and you wouldn’t even be able to see what they were doing. Then it made sense—I had to hit the unlock button to grant permission to exterior frunk switch operations.

Another locking feature that was initially frustrating, but I came to appreciate is the auto-fold mirrors. Not only is it nice that all of my truck is in the parking spot, they remind me if I leave my phone or key in the truck.

When I get out and lock the doors with the touch button on the door handle the doors lock and the mirrors fold. If I’ve left my PAAK in the car, the doors will lock, but the mirrors won’t fold. This is my reminder to go get my phone or check that the key fob that remains in the truck is properly wrapped in its tin foil.

Thanks, I bought it used with 2000 miles. I asked them to look around for it, but they could not find it. I might try to print one if I cant buy one.

I’d just go to the local Ford dealer. Looks to be a $10.00 part on line, but the part number is slightly different and you know how the Internet can be.

I also LOVE this feature. I regularly drive to a trailhead for a run and love that I can lock the truck and not have to hide a key somewhere. Now that I think of it, does anyone know if a smartwatch capable of running FordPass works like PAAK without needing to have your phone on you?

My cellular connected Apple Watch will do just that. Unlock-lock, turn fan on-off, sound horn & flash lights, show position of truck on a map.
