I found that pushing the seat back shut with my hand in the center of the seatback cushion, just to the left of where the latch is on the backside, does the trick.I found that the kit helps a bit in making it easy to fold the seatback down. Some folks just use a box end wrench (about 10mm to 1/2" or so) to pull the latch, which is located behind the seat about 4 inches or so from the driver's side interior wall. It's easier to get to the latch when the seat bottom has been raised.
The difficult part is getting the seatback latched when you push it back up into place; the sliding horizontal bar has to be in just the right place or the latch won't latch. There's probably a trick, but I haven't mastered it yet.
