I had really hoped to keep my contributions here positive, but there is one feature that absolutely drives me mad every time I encounter it:
When I use the auto-up tailgate and start to walk away before it is up and latched, if I get more than a foot or so from the tailgate the sequence aborts, the horn sounds, and the tailgate goes back down. I then have to walk back to the tailgate and wait for the sequence to complete before walking away. Do others experience this? Is there a setting to disable this (other than disabling the power tailgate)?
This happened to me twice. I activated the auto up tailgate and then proceeded to the driver's door to leave but then was met with a double horn sound. The tailgate closed but immediately reopened after the beeps! I was like " What just happened?".

I've had this happen maybe once. I probably open the tailgate a couple of times a month, but it pretty much always catches after I raise it and then closes on its own. It's been a pretty solid feature for me.

What happens if you use the button on the dash? I've closed mine a few times that way in just the last couple of months. I hauled some trash off and leaving the dump I left the tail gate down for leaves to blow out. The tailgate bounces so bad while down and driving that at a stop light down the road, I hit park and put it up. Its works every time.

It may have to do with WAL??
I have had it do something similar when I push the frunk button in the truck and get out and hit the door lock button as I’m exiting…. At least I think I am remembering that correctly?
It could be if I turned the truck off and open the door while the tailgate was still in motion?
Now I just always be sure that before I do anything I put the tailgate up before locking/turning off the truck, etc.

Now that I recall I had my hand on the handle to open the door and get in when the double beeps happened and the tailgate reopened up.
WAL is walk away lock feature? I don't think i have it. At least I don't have the toggle under the LOCK section in the settings.

Yeah, I think it’s just kind of a finicky thing not sure why!

Lariat definitely has a fan for the phone charger too.
This kind of blew my mind. I shut off the AC/Fan and put the phone on the charger in my Lariat and I heard the fan kick on. Only problem is my phone never wants to stay on the stupid thing. If I accelerate a little too hard or take a sharp turn my phone goes flying off of it. If I could solve that problem, I might actually use it.
