No problem, there is a 20 cent fix for that. Takes 4 nickels.
Many on the forum have done the fix.
Just saw the vid on that. A nice quick fix.

FWIW, I went from a 2008 Ridgeline to a 2023 Lightning Pro ER. I loved my Ridgeline but I bought it when I was single. A wife, two kids, and a dog later I just needed more space.

Was a great decision. Don't miss the Ridgeline at all!
Yup, it has been and still is a nice little truck, but after sitting in and driving a full size, it's nice to stretch out a bit. I actually have to move the seat forward a bit. In the Honda, I am always hitting my knee on the lower left dash.

Ok, i just got back from test driving a Flash. I was very impressed with the power and how quiet it was. Very easy to drive and very comfortable. I'm thinking that with the overall increase in size of vehicle vs the Ridgeline, the shorter bed may not matter. The bed is wider, the area in the back seats is larger and the trunk is bigger.

Sticker was 78k, but after checking with finance, he said without any heavy negotiating, 65k would be an easy target. I don't know if he is including the $7500 credit in that number.

The Flash trim has just about everything I'd want. I actually prefer the cloth seats and I don't care if every surface isn't soft touch.

The only thing I could find to knock is the center armrest storage. It would be nice if the springs to open it were a bit stronger so it stays open and the little tray inside slides back and forth when cornering. Definitely not deal breakers, but still, your spending 70k+.

So, all in all, a very nice truck. I'm probably not going to do anything until the end of the month, at a minimum. There is still a part of me (getting smaller) that thinks the PB with the bigger bed is the way to go.

And I need to look into electrical on the house side and figure out what I would need for that.
I'm pretty sure his quote of $65K would include the Federal Tax Credit. If not, you'd better buy it right away before they figure out their mistake LOL! What does it have for options that got the sticker on a Flash up to almost what my Lariat's MSRP was?

I took a pic of the sticker, but there is a lot of glare. The funny thing is, the sticker was at 78, the ADM sticker next to it had it up to 82k or 84k. When I looked up the sticker on their website, they have it at 72k.

They had $1200 for Pro Power
Max trailer tow for $1100
Bedliner for $550
Twenty inch wheels but it didn't have a price. I don't know if the Flash comes with those. It may have been over on the ADM sticker.

Hmmm, sounds fishy. I won't even buy from a Dealer that puts additional markup on all their vehicles. That Flash should have an MSRP of $72,385 and the 20" wheels are standard. So if they are taking the $7500 federal tax credit off and selling it to you for $65K, you're paying a bit over MSRP. Any other dealers in your area?

I've replaced my center console tray with a full size tray. It has to be removed to access the large lower level so it might be annoying if you want to access it frequently, but it works for me. I don't recall the smaller tray sliding around. Maybe it stays put once it has a little weight in it...or maybe someone on a test drive takes corners in a different manner than an owner who is responsible for the tires.🤣

Yeah, there are. When the time comes, I'll send out feelers to a bunch of dealers. I'm not against driving a bit for a deal.
This dealer is in an auto mall and usually it's the Toyota dealer gouging everyone.

We have 2 dealers in our town. They both have $8-12K additional markups on the Lightnings they have in stock. We drove 120 miles to a dealer that doesn't do additional markups and BS addons who gave us $5K off MSRP plus no time consuming and stressful games. I found them through the Costco Auto Purchase Program.

2022 Ford Lightning Lariat 132 kwh
Hi, I'm just dipping my toes the EV pool and have a few questions. I currently have a 2017 Honda Ridgeline with a shell on it. It's been a great little truck. Unfortunately, I find myself needing to carry more stuff, so I'm looking into either the Powerboost with the 6.5 foot bed or the Lightning.
The majority of my driving is around town or up to 40 miles away. A few times year, its up to 100-400 miles. I also do some woodworking, so trips to the lumber yard are a few times a year, as well.
The Lightning seems like it would be ideal, especially with the trunk. The Ridgeline trunk is about half the size.

Long story short (I hope ), I'm torn between the Powerboost with the longer bed and about the same gas mileage as the Honda and the Lightning, which has a shorter bed, but has the larger trunk and maybe better reliabilty.

Any thoughts on the two?

The Ford guy said I should lease the Lightning due to battery tech changing and buy the PB.

Is the Lightning more reliable than the PB. or do they just have there own little issues?

Does the Lightning let you know where charging stations are or do you use third party apps?

Thanks for your time.
Loved my Ridgeline. Love my Lightning even more.

I just leased my 2024 Flash, picking it up Saturday. I chose to lease because of the $11K in incentives combined with my state’s $7500 EV truck incentive made the lease very inexpensive. With the way things rust in Massachusetts I like the idea of not worrying about the long term damage from salt and not having to fluid film the leased truck. I believe there will be more competition in the EV truck market by 2027 when this lease is up, so I decided renting it for three years would meet my needs now and leave me open to something new in the future. My lease is open ended, but the residual is $45K. Judging by what 2022’s are selling for now, I don’t believe the Lightning will be worth $45K in the end of 2027.

Mine without the bedliner is $73,040 on the sticker, it did include the $500 travel charger in that price. I’d bet his $65K number is MSRP with the federal tax credit applied. There is a bunch of incentive money and programs on the Lightnings through 1/2/2025.

Went from a 2019 Ridgeline to a 2024 Lightning Lariat. I love it and my 5 foot wife loves driving it more than the Ridgeline. The bed is the same length as the Ridgeline and if I need to haul long boards, I just put my extender on the trailer hitch. The one and only thing I miss on the Ridgeline is the side opening tailgate. No regrets so far.

I think of one the things that is holding me back is the bed. If the bed doesn't hold that much more than the Ridgeline, even with the frunk, I'm not sure it's worth it.
You gain a little in the frunk, but lose a bit with the wheel wells intruding into the bed.
There's a couple of other things I'm questioning, so I'm kinda leaning back to keeping the Rideline.

According to Google the Ridgeline bed is 33.9 cubic feet, the F-150 with the smallest bed is 52.8 cubic feet. Wheel wells or not the bed is about 55% larger than the Ridgeline. Plus you get 14.1 cubic feet in the frunk and a much larger back seat.
