Run Away.

If you are still confused- ask your Mother what you should do. Because you will be using her car when this truck is at the Ford garage.

It's a lemon that was returned to Ford.
Look for a deal and buy new. Take your time. Prices will only get better.

I noticed that reference as well, also the "Yellow Light" I assumed owner was talking about the FCSP being derated, I see a lot of members nickname it Pro Charger and who knows what the Tech's are thinking when they read "customer states" that the service advisors wrote in the intake notes.
It's an incredible shame that dealerships don't educate their staff. A properly written service report may have avoided repeat visits. Something like, "DCFC don't work, Level 2 does" instead of "fast" and "slow" which could be DCFC vs L2 or L2 vs L1. It sounds like they only ever tested L2 charging, but do to the intermittent problems they took apart half the truck to swap out the wiring. One wonders if that was actually necessary?

@Boatman My brother is also in the market for a Lightning after a year of telling him how much I love mine. There are some pretty nice deals on Flash trims and the 0% is a VERY good deal. Interest rates are likely to up again this year, in my opinion. When you compute how much you'd pay for a cheaper used with interest, it's about the same as new with 0%.

My brother's biggest problem is he wants a Red truck but it seems like there are none left to be bought in the Flash trim.

My mother would say " I am sure you will do the right thing". And she doesn't have a car. So thats not much help.

I am simply interested in how common these issues are in the Lightning.

In reference to the title of this thread, my lightning has been to the dealer once in 16000 miles.
That was at 10000 miles for the recommended tire rotation and washer fluid fill.

I had some modules replaced at 1500 miles and std recal work. That's it for my 2022 Lar/Ext. Best truck ever. Myself, I would not buy a lemon/buyback. Plenty other options.
I wish you success in whatever you choose.

With all of the past issues, why even consider that one when you can go to another dealer to get one under warranty and a lot fewer issues?
