I lost my charge port cover.

My wife clipped my Lightning backing up while it was charging and nocked the plastic cove off the charging port door. I snapped it back on but then she did it again. So finally it just fell off and was lost. I tried to order the cover but had to order the entire assembly. But then got informed the part was out of stock. I have now ordered the same part from a different supplier and waiting. Shame is all I really need is the cover. Has anyone else had this problem and how did you reach a conclusion?

Can't help on the cover but if you use a tiny bungee cord, you can keep the charging door closed slightly to help this from happening again

Check eBay for the part. I replaced the broken Sunglass holder in the ceiling console and bought it on eBay.

Based on the cost of parts, it would probably be cheaper to order a new wife.

Thanks for the advice! I did watch a video on how to remove and install the charge port door (if I ever get a replacement!).
