most of these boxes come with a sim ejection tool and there should be a little button that you can push with it so you can switch from android auto to CarPlay. If it has that try clicking it and see if that works. You might have to click it for a couple seconds.
Right. When I first got it initially it was set up for carplay. I could not get that to work in the vette. I changed it to android auto and it loaded right up, no problem. It worked very well. I will try it again when I get back to the shop.

Finally got back to this. I switched the device to run as a Car Play device and it booted right up. I think if I switch it back to Android Auto it might work in that mode too. I am not sure if one is better than the other. At first glance it appears to be about the same to me. I was able to get my OBD device hooked up. I just need to find an app that has more EV options, maybe that is Forscan lite?

Hello. I cannot get the Android auto to work on my lightning. Apple carplay works fine but I have a Samsung phone so I am really wanting Android Auto. I pressed the button to switch over. Blue light is flashing but I keep getting this error. But it's connected to the box and my phone to the box, so there is nothing for me to open on my phone. Any advise would be greatly appreciated!
I bought two Binize boxes and both are the same. Not sure what I am doing wrong or how to proceed

First of all I hope you are heeding the first warning to put the car in park.

My CarLinit did not work as an android device, As soon as I switched over to Car Play it worked. There are some things I noticed. My phone would connect as android auto before the car play device would connect, so I had to turn it off on my phone. i still can't figure out how remove the android auto device on the truck. I wonder if you cleaned out all of the existing AA data, maybe things would work.

I am not having any issues using it as the car play. Everything works as well as it did with android auto so I don't think I am missing anything by having it set up as a car play. My phone still connects via Bluetooth to the carlinkit so the phone works well as well as Bluetooth. So once again I don't know what I am missing.

The one thing I did is start my free trial to the AT&T service so that I can use the hotspot for the carlinkit. It works OK, except that so far I have had to turn the hotspot on the truck back on after the truck turns off. A couple of times it stayed on, I am not sure how it is supposed to work. It is very nice and seamless when it stays on, when I have to turn it on every time it is a deal breaker, I will just use my phone. I know I am becoming a lazy guy.
