Nice try. That's a wave, not a Nazi Salute. There are other pictures with non far right wing people who are clearly waving. Your probably going to show those next. Just stop, it's not the same.
I agree, That is clearly a wave, not a solute. Poor comparison to the Musk salute.

It’s the exact same wave. It’s just that it gets interpreted differently according to one’s confirmation bias.

I’m no fan of Musk. I don’t even know the guy, but this assault on his character is completely unfounded. But that’s the way it is these days, whomever doesn’t agree with one’s political position is automatically pure evil. I think the race to bottom has finally been reached.

Remember when Musk restored the accounts of all the Nazis on X and the advertisers did not want their ads next to Nazi content and Musk told the advertisers to "Go F themselves"?
Which Nazis?

The Nazi accusation has been used to vilify anyone one side disagrees with from George W Bush to present. It’s become a toothless accusation lobbied by those lacking the intellect to defend their beliefs in a legitimate debate.

We either have a first amendment or we don’t:

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

I applaud Elon Musk’s stance on twitter being a free speech platform for ALL speech. I have no tolerance for bigotry or racism regardless of the source. Unfortunately the way things have gone the judgement of what’s racist depends on the ethnicity of the person saying it. Stuff like this is pushed by one side.

I enjoyed Adam Corolla’s recent commentary about his white privilege.

ADAM CAROLLA: I want to talk about my white privilege so badly. I graduated North Hollywood High with a 1.7 GPA. I could not find a job.

I walked to a fire station in North Hollywood. I was 19. I was living in the garage of my family home.

My mom was on welfare and food stamps and I said, can I get a job as a fireman? And they said, no, because you're not black, Hispanic, or a woman. We'll see in about seven years.

And I went to a construction site and dug ditches and picked up garbage for the next seven years. I got a letter in the mail sent to my father's house saying, your time has come to do the written exam for the LA Fire Department. I took it and I was standing in line and I had a young woman of color standing behind me in line and I said, just out of curiosity, when did you sign up to become a fireman? Because I did it as a person seven years ago. And she said, Wednesday. That is an example of my white privilege.

Reading the text of the article it seems hard to believe all that was going on in modern America, much less in California. In places I’ve worked you’d get your ass kicked for any one of these things.

According to the EEOC’s suit, since at least 2015 to the present, Black employees at Tesla’s Fremont, California manufacturing facilities have routinely endured racial abuse, pervasive stereotyping, and hostility as well as epithets such as variations of the N-word, “monkey,” “boy,” and “black b*tch.” Slurs were used casually and openly in high-traffic areas and at worker hubs. Black employees regularly encountered graffiti, including variations of the N-word, swastikas, threats, and nooses, on desks and other equipment, in bathroom stalls, within elevators, and even on new vehicles rolling off the production line, the EEOC said.

So ridiculous. Let's agree to disagree and move on.
I’m of the opinion that when we condemn another person, it should not be a matter of consensus, but rather a matter of truth. I don’t see any point in arguing about it either, however, unlike you I have not already made up my mind about him based on highly partisan media.

I don’t mean to be harsh, but this whole nazi thing is not grounded in any evidence, only interpretation based on preconceived notions.

I can’t imagine anything being hope of unit if we can’t get past this ridiculous name calling.

My fear is that we are already too far gone.

I made up my mind about E long before this recent incident. I believe this political impasse environment we now live in started about 8-9 years ago.

I would agree. Every year I don’t think it can get any worse, but every year I am surprised.

I wonder if anyone's calculated how much time you waste throughout a year going to a gas station to fill up an ICE vehicle? When you have a charger at home, and you only occasionally go on 300+ mile trips, maybe you still come out ahead with an EV for all those times throughout the year with in-town commuting that you didn't have to spend gassing up. For really long trips, I'd rather fly and rent a car at my destination, as driving for hundreds and hundreds of miles isn't much different in terms of entertainment than twiddling my thumbs at a charging station. I'd rather spend more time at my destination and have less depreciation on my vehicle.
I prefer the road trips and scenery.

When I priced out my Lariat as an ICE, the price difference was small when factoring the tax rebate. And that was before they even lowered the EV prices.

How many times have I waited an hour to charge. Zero. I’ve waited 20 minutes about 5 times (time for a pee break). The rest I charge conveniently at home as needed.

And a number of times, I found slow, free chargers that I can leave the truck on the night before my trip and not even pay for the electricity!
So for example, when I go to Vegas from S. California I have to stop in Baker CA to charge up to 90%. It takes about an hour to charge. Are you not going on long trips that require you to charge up for that amount of time?
