Hi all!
Curious if anyone else has noticed the new “feature” that came with one of these recent updates.
I received the most current OTA update a few weeks ago…6.13, and ever since then my instrument cluster goes back to the “Calm” screen nearly every power cycle. I personally like it in either “Driver Assistance” or “Seatbelts”…but nearly every time I jump in and take off, the instrument cluster has returned to the “Calm” screen, which if I’m going to be honest, is my least favorite screen. The odd thing is, it’s not every time it’s just most of the time.

Anyone else experiencing this?

Yes. Seems to move down to the next selection within the My View options. This has happened since day one with my truck.

My truck has gone to the "My view" main menu randomly, but otherwise stays on the last viewed screen from prior key cycle. currently on 6.8.0, but I've seen this phenomena in earlier updates.

Hi there! Will you send us a message with your VIN and your local Ford dealer? I can look into things on my end.

The same as other responses, there are several small bugs that have been introduced with these latest releases, but my screen doesn't default back to the Calm screen as you note. More often, I get in to the menu to configure the screens as @taxman notes.

CarPlay not playing music and requiring a reboot of the infotainment system is the biggest bug I see almost daily.

I read this post this morning...and I went to the truck to find it went to the "MyView Configuration" screen as yours have.

My truck went into hibernation about the time that this thread started. Now that it's awakened from it's sleep, I'm seeing the same problem. Before hibernation, I could set it to the "Driver Assistance" screen and it would stay there. Now every time I stop the truck and restart, it's back to the Calm screen. Has anyone discovered a way to have the chosen screen stay chosen?

Still not getting the calm screen after a key cycle, but do get the configure my view randomly, but mostly I get what I had for a last view, either trip-1 or this trip.

My clock also flipped back to 12-hour format spontaneously in the past few days, not sure what's up with that, it's been a while since my last OTA.

Nothing that I’ve found. I had the dealer take a look at it…and not surprisingly shrugged their shoulders. Waiting for one of these OTA updates to fix it. I suspect this is a low priority item…and I’m not expecting it to get fixed. The answer I keep getting is : “well you can change it to the screen you want”…which is true, I suspect this was not how the engineers designed it to work.

FWIW, I'm one of many who have never received an OTA update. I just had the BMS module replaced last Wednesday. Dealer did some additional FDRS updates that are supposed to update the Gateway module and resolve my OTA issues. They said I should now start getting them "soon". We'll see...

I discovered something this morning. If I select the "This Trip" screen, it stays through a power cycle, not reverting to the Calm Screen. So it appears that the bug (I believe it is) is related to either the Driver Assistance screen or some combination of the screens I've selected to display or their order.

I seem to have just started experiencing this.

Is there a way to exit calm display in the instrument cluster? I really don't like the display. Thanks

Up arrow on the right hand steering wheel controls works for me when it randomly switches to calm mode.
