Added to spreadsheet (see my signature) for Power Malfunction / Reduced Power problems. Did that notification also show on FordPass or on your screens?

I can't find any notifications on FordPass, the only thing that happens when the power gets reduced is, my charge bar turns yellow (like it does when you are low on battery) and the top half of my powerbar gets hashed out. When it happens again I will try to get a picture of it.

Just weighing in on the GoM accuracy. Took my first longish trip (~15 hours total driving over 3 days). Got a pretty consistent 2.0 - 2.2 m/kWh. Lots of full trip reports on here and mine matches most of those so no need for another.

Only oddity was that on the way home, after one of many charges, my GoM "lost" about 50 miles of range. No significant change in weather or consumption. Just a naughty algorithm. It made me nervous enough that I added an extra charge

On the upside, I had no issues with EA. First time I got to use it and the Ford connection was super easy.

Update from Ford, need a new battery and a high voltage harness. They will be installing it on the 25th of this month. They didn't explain exactly what the issue is, but a couple days after this post I got a call from them, and they told me "A concerning issue is arising on my truck and I need to have it serviced immediately."

After some back and forth with them, the lady on the phone told me that according to the data they are seeing on the truck, it will need a new battery, and a replacement of the high voltage harness. All of it will be covered by Ford, which is nice, but having to drop my truck off on my birthday (for at least a week) is not so nice.

The new thing the truck does now is, limit my total motor power to 50% at random, (started the day I posted). Ford assures me that the truck will operate, but might be "slightly power limited," until my drop off day.

People can say what they want about vehicles with wifi connections, and quality issues and what have you, but this is one of the nicest experiences with a vehicle issue I have ever had the disposition of having to deal with. From the time I noticed something was different, to the time Ford called me about the issues was about a month. I am sure as time goes on, and Fords systems improve, they might actually be contacting people before they even realize something is wrong, and thats pretty cool in my book.

Thanks for the help and suggestions guys, but I know vehicles, when something is off, I am usually pretty quick to spot it. To those talking about temps and driving style, my truck had better range when temps were almost 30 degrees colder outside, and I was using more systems (mainly the heater), so driving habits and environment should have favored me in the past 4 weeks, not hindered me. The one thing I wish we had on the dash was an actual readout for how my Kwh of battery we have, instead of a % based bar.
I started reading this thread for the first time just now, from post #1, and thinking you had a real issue despite the early responses. Then I see this post in which your concerns are validated.

I would like to commend you on your polite response. You had every opportunity to take a victory lap at the expense of others, but you took the high road. We could all learn from you on being kind to others, myself included. Thank you for your example.

The Ford GOM is much more accurate than the one on my old eGolf. But, what I liked about the eGolf is that it would automatically adjust every time you changed the HVAC temp or turned on the seat warmers. Really helped a new EV owner understand. For instance. When I turned on the seat warmer it would drop from 120 to 119. Or when I turned on the AC from 110 to 94 etc.

It still amazes me how many people see the GOM low and their their battery is failing. Just drive your truck and enjoy it.
My 2013 Leaf did the same thing. Updated GoM immediately when I turned on the heat. Clearly it can be done, and HAS BEEN done for quite some time.

I am VERY interested in your comment about the 50% power limit in your motor. I had this same exact thing happen to me once a couple weeks ago. Outside temp was about 51 degrees, and I've driven in much colder temps with no power limiting so I was concerned there was some kind of issue. Power limit never changed during the whole drive but on the next drive it was back to 100% and the issue hasn't happened again since then. I was going to just chalk it up to a one-time fluke but now I'm not so sure. Should I lodge a complaint with Ford about this even if I can't reproduce it?

Hey everyone, so this past week has been interesting. But I wanted to give an update on the process of repairs. I dropped the truck off on the 25th, and that was something. The dealer saw that I had an appointment to drop it off for service... BUT, they had NO CLUE why, or what, was going to be done. I tried calling ford, but at the time I dropped off the truck, the rep helping me had already gone home. The next day the dealer called me, again asking what was supposed to be done on the Truck, I again tried calling Ford, but could not reach my rep. I emailed her, and about 5 hours later she emailed back telling me everything was being done on the Truck, and that all the parts had arrived for the service. Since that point I have only had one other point of contact, which was an email from the dealer telling my that my vehicle was currently being serviced and that they would send daily updates (something this ford dealer does for more extended service).

outside of the hiccup at start, everything seems to be happening as planned, and I am hoping to be back in my Truck by Wednesday.
