Hi all,

I find understanding the software update process to be quite difficult. It seems that it's arbitrary and I may be on a different software than someone else with the exact same car. I tried researching but I just got lost in all the numbers, and the easiest to follow site looks like it stopped updating a while ago.

This is my software update screen. Am I up to date? I took ownership several weeks ago but haven't had any updates here.

In the Fordpass app, I do see that I have one CSP due (heated steering wheel performance upgrade). Could this be affecting me not getting updates?

Thanks.

Your truck has 47 modules. It's highly doubtful that all of them have the latest and greatest software updates.

The Sync Check Updates page only shows you the status of recent OTAs (if any) and does not provide an accurate assessment of your truck's software status. In fact, there are times when it says an update hasn't completed when it actually has.

I went almost a year without updates. When I complained to my dealer, they pushed a couple quick module updates to see if it would spur the OTA process. I've gotten a handful since, usually a couple weeks to a month in between them. Don't stress it, just enjoy the truck as it is.

Your truck has several more updates to receive to be on par with mine, see my signature, they're in reverse order.

Get your CSP done, that's to give you the heated steering wheel that was deleted in production due to lack of parts, it's no cost to you to get this fixed ASAP.

While there performing that service, you may be lucky that other updates may come, depending on how much free time the technician has to work them...... good luck
