"Bluecruise Maps Not Up To Date" message

Surprised we have not had an avalanche of complaint's on the Lightning forum, I'm not seeing this issue on my truck.

I got it on my 22 ER Lariat (May 2022 build). I simply ignored it.

Severe rain, snow and blinding sun (horizon conditions) in the camera behind the rearview mirror will impact operation, it should say something to the effect of {Hands Free / Blue Cruise} is unavailable at this time IIRC.

Verified via ford site the roads are still mapped

Well, I have an update to report. I think I know why my blue Cruise quit after my 6.1 update last night.


Under Sync general about my hands-free maps show they expired April 6, 2024.


But my connected services show that I am good for three years until 2027.


Is this just some kind of glitch and I will need to wait for an update to download to fix that?

Well, I have an update to report. I think I know why my blue Cruise quit after my 6.1 update last night.


Under Sync general about my hands-free maps show they expired April 6, 2024.


But my connected services show that I am good for three years until 2027.


Is this just some kind of glitch and I will need to wait for an update to download to fix that?

On trucks with later updates the date is hidden, I'm up to 6.8.0 + various Priority updates

Here’s a picture. As far as I know this changed with the 6.1.0 update that installed yesterday but I realize I really have no way of verifying that. It just seems like an awful big coincidence.

Technically, it could have happened at another time though.

There is an update floating out in the ether which pushes it much further out into the future and also makes it invisible to the driver.

Hmm.. okay. Well thanks for that. I guess that means there is some other reason blue cruise didn’t activate today. We’ll see what happens tomorrow

I got the warning as well, but was in a bit of a hurry so I didn't have any time to look at it. Also it didn't seem like there was any other option other than to acknowledge it? I checked for updates and of course there were none, so I'm not really sure what it was complaining about if there's nothing a user can do to resolve the issue?
That being said, I have a super short work commute so Bluecruise isn't really practical for me right now.

Just an interesting update on #2 no blue cruise.

I noticed this morning I also do not have the "alerts" that would pop up if I looked away from the road during regular cruise control + lane keep assist driving. I verified those driver alerts were turned on in settings.


It really seems like since 6.1.0 downloaded "an update to your blue cruise maps" I've lost functionality to the vision tracking cameras?


Since blue cruise is a very small portion of my commute (about six miles) I will likely just wait until another OTA update comes in and see if it resolves anything.

As I read this thread, I bet what happened is that somewhere in the software stack, 06/04/2024 was interpreted as 04/06/2024 and triggered the warning. Darn date formats!

I'll say, Mine says "Hands-free driving mode available through 03-09-2074". Lol

only have had Lightning since last Thursday, I'm on the 23159 revision 915.

sure makes me appreciate the wife's Model Y OTA's 🫠
