Has anyone else had issues getting the Frunk to shut? If I press the button, it'll open, but sometimes it won't shut. I'll try a light push than a heavier one, but no movement. On the flip side, sometimes I press it and the Frunk starts moving, feels the pressure of my finger, and stops. I have to shut it from my phone or from inside the truck.

Ditto for the exterior lock buttons on the handles. 80% of the time, it locks. Sometimes it just refuses to. Same with the touch unlock inside the handle. Any ideas why? I'm using PaaK, is it just not sensing my phone? I love the ease of unlocking / locking through touch but only when it works.

Haven't had any issues with the frunk, but I have been agitated at the lock button. I've been chalking it up to me not knowing how to properly use it. Seems like I have to push it twice to lock?

Truck has to be unlocked for the external button to work (in certain scenarios). If the button isn't working (either in open or closed position), unlock your truck and push the button again.

My frunk button closes the frunk about 50% of the time. My non-scientific assumption is that the button performs poorly in the cold weather, but I haven't had enough warm weather to test the opposite thoroughly. I usually just double tap the button on the key fob when this happens, but it's definitely a small nuisance.

Unlock the truck with the keyfob and try to push the frunk button again. That is the issue 99% of the time.

I was also under the impression my button didn't work right.

It could be the door lock state, but as I was still figuring out how to use it (I've only used it a handful of times), I got it to work a couple times by holding the button after pressing didn't work. But then that doesn't always work. Maybe a combination of not pressing it right sometimes and the truck being locked other times?

I probably often do pop frunk, hop out, lock with fob, put keys away, grab items from frunk and try to use button to close. Frankly I'd prefer it to work this way as I don't want to fumble with keys after my hands are full of groceries

It's been close to if not warmer than 80F where I'm at. I think y'all might be right about the truck being locked. I usually don't keep the FOB on me, so when I open the frunk and the truck is locked, it works, but it won't shut unless I unlock it. Which sucks for loading groceries lol.

The auto unlock / lock feature is temperamental. I can't find rhyme or reason why it works sometimes and doesn't others. I think it has to do with sensing my phone.

I've got this issue. At first I thought it was a failing switch for the frunk but now I actually think it's a software bug given how reliable it is opening.

Generally it will open perfectly and then I'll need to either close it using the button in the cabin or via the mobile app. It seems to get confused as to what state the frunk is in.

Not sure but that's my guess at the moment.

I didn’t think we had auto lock/unlock. Touching the buttons on the door handle is as auto as it gets.

I think that's how the owners manual refers to it, or I might me misremembering. I'm referring to what you're thinking of.

Makes sense….since I have a Mach-E, which has true auto lock, that’s what I think of. Just walk up or walk away without touching anything.
I miss that on my Lightning.
