I've got karaoke, or not? And why can my truck talk to me but I can't?

So I got it update today. While I was just kicking it at the Rose Bowl with no Wi-Fi and when I got back in my truck it's said I have karaoke and a charging update. The directions say how to find it but I don't see it. And also, my truck can receive phone calls and text but when I tried to text it says my phone isn't connected. What the hell is up with that?

You don't say what trim you have, but I don't think XLT or Pro get the "fancy" apps. We do get the update to Public Charging which is much more useful IMHO.

For phone connection issues you could try restarting SYNC. Hold far bottom left and far bottom right buttons on steering wheel for a few seconds.

Yes, we get the same update, with the same description as everyone else, but we don't get the karaoke app. (Or any of the other "fancy" apps like Sketch.) I got the update today for my XLT as well.

Ford really really hates giving owners any useful information at all, such as to which trim/options each new feature might apply. This update is no exception.

Give her a few hours to settle the updates.

I'm not fully briefed on the XLT-SR features, I assume you previously had the ability to use voice commands?

Maybe it's a premium connectivity thing. I don't know if XLT gets the apps if you subscribe.
