Just wondering how serious this one is, and if anyone has had issues.

Background:
Lariat 2022 ER
I've already cleared any other recalls at the dealer earlier this year.
They haven't done any of the Customer Satisfaction Program stuff, not even the dash mat. (The equivalent of the brown M&Ms in the Van Halen Contracts back in the day.)

This should have already been done, it's an actual recall from November 2023.

I appreciate the responses. And yes, obviously. I dropped it off at Asheville Ford to eliminate a the recalls at the end of April 2024. They changed the tail light-bar. That was it. Guess I'll go back and be more persistent. Just want this last recall off the vehicle record.

I am impressed that they put it in writing that they screwed it up with an earlier OTA. That makes me trust them a little more. But I don't understand if OTA broke it, why an OTA can not fix it.

p.s. I had all of mine done around the same time as you but this was not listed for my Pro and Dashmat had dropped off the list.

But I don't understand if OTA broke it, why an OTA can not fix it.
An OTA probably can fix it, if only Ford actually knew how to get OTAs out to people in a reliable way. But as it is, if they want to make sure software gets to someone, they can't rely on their broken OTA system, and have to get people to go into a dealership and get the software updated that way.

They call it a recall, I call it a desired feature. That’s the “screw up” that allowed us to stay in sport mode..

A ota probably doesn't satisfy the nhtsa requirements for a recall.

This was a regulatory recall from the nhtsa and not a Ford CSP.

This is one update I wish had not been done to my truck and that I wish Ford would take back.
I loved keeping my truck in sport mode 24/7.
Now it’s an every start cycle annoying sequence for me to switch to it and stay in the street driving mode of my choice.

This is one update I wish had not been done to my truck and that I wish Ford would take back.
