It should only affect lights on the tailgate. If safety is a concern just put some black electrical tape over those lights since they are going to replace the parts anyway.Just FYI that part is backordered -- I'd expect into March at this point. Best get on the list.
Is this car considered safe to drive...? I feel like it is not?
They are the reverse lights. They light up when the truck lights up upon proximity to the key.Tail lights? Aren't those the back-up lights? Are they doing it while driving down the highway?
You'd be driving without backup lights I believe (unless the tailgate is down?). Probably illegal if I had to guess. It should only affect lights on the tailgate. If safety is a concern just put some black electrical tape over those lights since they are going to replace the parts anyway.
My side taillights have reverse lights in them, I guess I haven't inspected all the taillights differences between Pro/XLT and Lariat/Platinum. Learned something new today. You'd be driving without backup lights I believe (unless the tailgate is down?). Probably illegal if I had to guess.
