Does anyone else’s headlight sweep out and then back in when you first start the vehicle? My left headlight sweeps left and then centers itself, shown here. I want to know if this is normal.

Only the left light swivels fully outward and then back over during start. The right remains stationary. I actually just noticed, with steering wheel centered, the left light projector is offset inward, compared to the right, which seems to be in a neutral position. Both headlights should sweep on startup. You should also see both headlights move as you make a turn during dark hours.
I agree, I see the right side start up much faster than the left. How are these headlights supposed to track while driving? If the road has a gradual curve, the headlights pretty much track with the steering input. However, if I make a left or right turn, and quickly center the steering wheel, the lights lag about a second after centering. Not sure if thats normal or I am just seeing the left headlight having an issue with tracking. From what I see in your video, the right side is sweeping quick and normal. The left side seems extremely slow and is not normal. They should both sweep at the same time and same speed.
They do wiggle with the steering wheel. I looked up some videos online and my headlights do react the same way when turning. The lag when quickly centering the steering from either direction also seems normal. I wonder if Ford will say that the lag in the startup sequence and offset when finished is normal and okay if not throwing a fault code. The left light does seem to center after driving. There should be no lag. If you quickly center they should also quickly center. You can make them wiggle by wiggling the wheel.
Your left light has an issue when moving left but seems to move to the right closer to normal. The right light one looks to be working correctly.
Glad you were able to get it fixed and found a good dealer!I finally got this fixed. Dealer replaced headlight control module (wasnt the issue) and the headlight itself. Based on the DTC I was pulling and a couple of minutes on all data, I knew the headlight was what needed replacement. I really wasnt going to update this post since its so old but I decided to because I found a top notch dealer!
Since I discovered the issue last year I visited a few dealers south of ATL. All of their service departments suck, including the people I purchased the truck from. They all wanted the truck for weeks before even looking at it because of various reasons; we only have 1 EV tech, or it needs to get in queue (as if an EV specific tech is needed for a headlight).
One dealer went above and beyond with mobile service replacing my BMS sensor. I decided to give them an opportunity to fix my headlight. They again went above and beyond for someone who has never purchased a vehicle from them before. From the moment you call to make an appointment, to communication and getting the work done in a timely manner, to even filling the waiting room with fresh coffee and snacks; I have never been this satisfied and amazed by a dealer.
If you live anywhere in metro ATL, I highly suggest Pugmire Ford of Carrollton. I really hope Ford sees this too and passes my high remarks to Mr. Pugmire himself. They have earned themselves a life long customer.
