Less range with DC charging?

So I took my Lightning (‘23 ER XLT) on a road trip to see family and noticed a large drop in the range. I had to use a Level 1 charger while there because it’s rural and that was the only option. There and back, I’ve been using Level 3 chargers rated between 50-300kW.

Do y’all think that the decreased range was all due to colder temperatures (down to 30F) and more highway driving or does DC charging have any effect?

The only thing that will give you worse range than highway speeds is driving on the highway when its cold. DCFC shouldn't matter. Spring is coming, and the range will improve.

Electricity is the same no matter where you get it...

Power is Power, nothing will matter about 'how' you receive that power.

DRIVING is the main culprit, and always will be - whether speed, weather, terrain, etc.

Cold and hwy speeds. Each one of those alone suck, but combined It’s a real SOB for range.

Theoretically routine DCFC can degrade battery performance, but not instantaneously like you observed. That was due to speed and weather.
