OMG am I part of the electric agenda?

That story is definitely B.S. although the lack of randomly CAPITALIZED words MAKES it SEEM more credible.

They would certainly tow with it, but its probaly not this week, if they do it's probably for a limited time.

They went to a media event, so everyone shares trucks and has limited time with it.

Eventually they'll get their hands on one that they can have for a few days and test it to death.
Ok, I was thinking this was going to be a full day or two with the truck. Hopefully TFL gets the truck they ordered soon. I don't know if they have shared their build date but I know they ordered a truck.

Larry Lynch is probably one of the worst Click-baity YouTubers I've ever seen.

Block his videos, the guy says anything for clicks.

Just look at his YoUTube video titles, it's practically shameless:

A bunch of clueless people following his videos.
YouTube creators use click-bate titles and thumbnails??? That's YouTube at all times Larry is a lower subscriber YouTube that makes decent videos when there is very little info/leaks give the dude a break

Get ready for plenty of numb nuts looking for clicks at the expense of the next big vehicle launch.

some people are getting to tow with it but maybe not everyone. Someone from Car and Driver posted they would be towing with it yesterday.

Larry Lynch posted a video about this but the source is questionable...just wondered if any one has more detailed info.

I don't find his videos to be compelling/honest. It is possible that this happened, but I find it unlikely.

Well, that may be true about Larry and people like me who view his videos, but I was more interested in finding the source of the story. If it happened somewhere it seems it would make news locally, maybe somebody knows the real story.

It's funny. For months I've been calling him in my mind "Click-Bait Larry". I try to give him about 15 seconds to get to the point. Fool me once.....

Though quirky in his own way, the Electric Viking is more informative though sometimes a little guilty of clickbaiting. I think that guy is making an actual career out of his youtube videos without even leaving home..

I'm eagerly awaiting to see what happens when Sandy and Alex on Autos have to say when they get time with their lightnings.

Don't these people just reuse original content produced by enthusiast boards and YouTube creators?

OMG, the ignorance expressed in the post comments is terrifying. Blountville is about 4 hours East of me and I can feel the stupidity from here.

I'm hesitant to give him the benefit of the doubt, but there are some steep grades in East TN near Blountville that would deplete a battery very fast. 60 miles seems like an exaggeration though.

Obviously, just a Hypothetical ("Sooooo...let's just say"). @Larry took this Teaser Hoaxer Non-Fact and added Photo Shop Graphics stolen from Copyrighted material on the Web. There was never a Real You Tube Video.

Up Next...."A Sky Is Falling by Chicken Little" Video from a Facebook Post.

Unfortunately, many trusting folks take this kind of fun as Truth, doing real damage.

TFL got better efficiency that that towing an 8000 pound trailer up The Ike in the Rivian and that was *only* on the uphill section. So, yeah, if they towed up a 7% grade non-stop for 60 miles, it's possible. Maybe they were driving up Mt Everest?

Correction: They got 0.37 mi/kWh in the uphill section, which would be about 50 miles of range if you were towing continuously up the maximum allowable highway grade. That doesn't make the story more plausible, I just wanted to correct the number.

Bjorn Nyland did thorough testing of how towing affected the Model X range up to about 5000 pounds:

He tested with an older Model X, and the Lightning has a bigger battery, so it's tough to estimate how these figures will relate to the F150.
